A couple of weeks ago I was able to assist Em Gatland for the wedding of Kate and Leo Hayes. Their special day was to be one of the mistiest experienced in Hilton and this in itself was a lesson to be learned being my first "bad weather" wedding. Shadowing Em allowed me to embark on assisting and second shooting with the mindset of really just soaking everything I learn from Em up like a sponge.
She was very gracious and allowed me to take a few of my own photographs of the bridal couple, special moments and beautiful details in the decor. I had such an amazing time - Em is a wonderful, down-to-earth and beautiful soul which lends a huge advantage to her storytelling as a photographer whether it's weddings, wildlife or adventure photography.
