A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to get in touch with Kerry again after having lost touch for well over a year. We scheduled a little family photoshoot with Graham, Kerry and their son Crispin, before the holiday rush, only just managing to squeeze it in on a day with minimal rain. It was quite an "impromptu" photoshoot as our schedules did not quite coincide, but in the end we pulled off a very sweet session regardless of the stress that comes with trying to fit everything in, and trying to keep a baby entertained for a whole photoshoot. Crispin was such a gem and didn't end up needing much coaxing. Well... No more than usual for happy kiddies. I tried previously to share the little family shoot but sometimes living in Hilton has its disadvantages, especially when the weather is foul. You just cannot get a decent internet connection. Well, better late than never... Plus, it's just in time for a little Christmas cheer. Here's wishing you all a beautiful Christmas with your families.

Stop and smell the roses. If you happen to be in a garden with roses then it is all the more apt. But if not, really just stop the rush and craziness, and take to the outdoors. Relax. We can’t help that it is a time of year where everyone is insanely busy, rushing from one family event to the next, and let’s not forget all the Christmas shopping. This afternoon I took some time out to walk around my Dad’s garden to find some visual inspiration seeing that I haven’t had my camera out since arriving in Johannesburg last week. It has been such a rush so I decided I had better keep the fire burning before I get too overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle. Since I love nature and the outdoors… and dogs… I thought there would be no better place to start. |
